President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has arrived in Abu Dhabi for a one-day working visit. His trip includes participation in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), where he will join other world leaders in key discussions. The visit also features the signing of two major agreements between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

During his visit, the President will witness the signing of two bilateral deals. The first is the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (Cepa), designed to boost Philippine market access in the Gulf region. The second is a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Defense Cooperation, which will focus on advanced defense technologies.

Marcos will also engage in discussions at ADSW, addressing global challenges such as energy, water, finance, food security, and environmental protection. Additionally, he is set to meet with the Filipino community in the UAE, home to around 900,000 Filipinos.

The President expressed confidence that these agreements will bring long-term benefits, both for Filipinos in the Philippines and those living in the UAE.
