Mario Götz wins Bad Kissingen election with a landslide 74.5% victory
Mario Götz has won the district administrator election in Bad Kissingen with a decisive 74.5 percent of the vote. The district electoral committee confirmed the final results shortly after the polls closed. Götz now prepares to take office in the coming weeks. The official certification of the election results came from the district electoral committee. Götz then visited the district administration office to sign his formal acceptance. Under election rules, he had one week to decline the position, but his signature confirmed his commitment.
Thomas Bold, the outgoing administrator, will remain in charge until May 1. He described his time in office as productive, highlighting smooth cooperation and progress within the district. Before his departure, Bold will hold a district committee session in mid-April to address unfinished matters. The first meeting of the new electoral term, called the constitutive session, will mark the transition. Götz will also oversee the official farewell for Bold, ensuring a structured handover of responsibilities.
Götz's term as district administrator begins on May 1. Until then, Bold will continue leading the district's daily operations. The election results and acceptance process confirm Götz's readiness to take on the role.
