Masked Attackers Ambush Berlin Police Car with Fireworks in Kreuzberg
A police patrol vehicle was ambushed with fireworks in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district on Wednesday evening. The attack took place at the intersection of Urbanstraße and Gneisenaustraße around 9:30 p.m., leaving the vehicle damaged but the officer unharmed.
The incident began as the lone officer drove through the intersection on a green light. Suddenly, a masked individual hurled a wooden slat at the patrol car. Moments later, several other masked attackers launched pyrotechnics at the vehicle.
The attack has left police searching for the masked assailants. The patrol car’s damage was limited, and no injuries were reported. Investigators are now working to identify those responsible.
