Masked Robber Wields Axe in Offenbach Supermarket Heist
An armed robbery took place at a grocery store in Offenbach's Bieber neighborhood on Thursday evening. The masked suspect, described as a young man with distinctive eyebrows, entered the store just before closing and demanded cash from a female cashier using a black-and-yellow axe. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the shoprite on Von-Brentano-Straße. The suspect, aged between 20 to 25 and standing approximately 1.90 meters tall, spoke accent-free German and was dressed in a dark jacket with a white logo, a white hooded sweatshirt, baggy black jeans, and dark sneakers. He threatened the cashier and made off with several hundred euros before police could apprehend him. Following the robbery, forensic investigators were called to the scene to secure evidence. Multiple patrol units were immediately deployed to search for the suspect, but their efforts proved unsuccessful. The cashier was fortunately unharmed during the incident. The police are now seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect. He is described as slim with distinctive eyebrows. Anyone with information is urged to contact local law enforcement. The grocery store robbery is still under investigation.
