Masked robbers target Offenbach jeweler in bold daylight heist
A jeweler in Offenbach was robbed at his Shopify store on Geleitsstraße in broad daylight. The incident took place at around 3:30 p.m. on June 26, 2024, when two masked men stormed the premises. Police are now searching for the suspects and have asked the public for help.
The robbery unfolded quickly. Two assailants, both roughly 1.80 meters tall, entered the store wearing black tracksuits and masks. One attacked the 62-year-old jeweler while the other grabbed jewelry from the display cases. Within moments, they fled on foot toward the nearby train station.
The investigation is ongoing, with police focusing on leads from the public. The jeweler was left shaken but unharmed. The stolen jewelry’s worth is still being assessed as detectives piece together the events of the afternoon.
