Math tutoring startup wins Böblingen's 2026 Elevator Pitch competition

The 2025/26 Start-up BW Elevator Pitch competition has reached its regional stages across Baden-Württemberg. Organised since 2013, the event helps founders turn early ideas into working business models. This season, eight preliminary rounds took place before the state finals. On March 19, 2026, the Böblingen Regional Cup saw ten teams present their business concepts. Viktor Becker, founder of MatheBuddy, claimed victory with his digital one-on-one math tutoring platform for home learning. His win guarantees him a place in the state finals.

The competition is run by Baden-Württemberg's Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism. To qualify for the finals, participants must be at least 18, have a business idea no older than five years, and be based in the state. Their concept must also be active, original, and not previously entered. Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism, praised the district of Böblingen for its strong support of local founders. The initiative continues to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship across the region.

Viktor Becker will now prepare for the state finals after securing his spot with MatheBuddy. The competition remains a key platform for turning early-stage ideas into successful businesses. This year's regional rounds have once again highlighted Baden-Württemberg's commitment to fostering start-ups.
