Mayor Jürgen Roth invites you to the New Year's reception at the Theater am Ring
Villingen-Schwenningen’s Mayor Jürgen Roth has invited residents to the city’s 2026 New Year’s Reception. The event will feature a keynote speech by economist Prof. Dr. Dr. Lars Feld on financial challenges facing local governments. The gathering takes place on Sunday, January 11, at Theater am Ring in Villingen.
The reception begins at 5:00 PM with Feld’s lecture, titled Local Fiscal Policy in an Era of Limited Resources. His talk will explore current financial pressures and potential solutions for Villingen-Schwenningen. Afterward, Mayor Roth will deliver his annual New Year address to attendees.
Once the formal programme concludes, guests can enjoy sparkling wine and live jazz. The Villingen Jazz Club will provide entertainment, giving residents a chance to socialise and celebrate the start of the new year.
