Mecklenburg-Vorpommern stages massive emergency response drill on November 15

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is set to host a statewide emergency response drill on November 15, 2025. Led by the Ministry of the Interior, the exercise will simulate logistical support for advancing units from various emergency services and the military. Four mixed marching units, each with over 20 vehicles, will participate.

The drill, scheduled for 11:00 AM at Karpendiek 1, 23970 Hornstorf (HEM gas station), aims to test alert procedures, long-distance deployment marches, and the supply of emergency personnel. Interior Minister Christian Pegel stressed the importance of regular training for swift and effective emergency response. Media representatives are invited to attend, with registration mandatory by November 13, 2025, at 4:00 PM via [email protected].

The 2025 State Emergency Response Exercise is part of the state’s ongoing training and professional development program in hazard prevention and crisis management. It provides an opportunity to evaluate and improve emergency response capabilities in Northwest Mecklenburg.
