Meerbusch Empowers Youth Through New Community Assemblies This December
Meerbusch is launching a series of youth assemblies this December to give young people a voice in shaping their community. Organized by the city’s mobile youth services, the events will invite students from seventh grade upwards to share their ideas and concerns. No registration is needed, and all interested teenagers are welcome to attend.
Five neighborhood assemblies will take place across Meerbusch, each at a different location. Sessions are scheduled in Büderich, Osterath, Strümp, Ossum-Bösinghoven, the Rhine districts, and Lank-Latum. The timing varies slightly: the Büderich meeting runs from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, while the others finish at 7:30 PM.
The assemblies provide a direct way for young people in Meerbusch to influence their surroundings. By gathering feedback and ideas, the city’s mobile youth services plan to turn discussions into action. Each session offers a chance for students to connect with peers and decision-makers in their community.
