Memmingen, a city renowned for its commitment to civil liberties, has hosted the closing event of the World Mission Month, a global Catholic solidarity campaign. The event, held by Missio Munich in the Diocese of Augsburg, honoured Carol Daria, a Filipino psychologist and human rights activist.

The World Mission Month, the largest of its kind among Catholics, concluded with a solemn Mass at St. Joseph’s Church in Memmingen. This year's focus was on the Philippines, highlighting the struggle for human rights in the country.

Carol Daria, a prominent figure in this struggle, was awarded the prestigious Pauline Jaricot Prize.
