Menden Heads to Runoff: Schmidt vs. Wilkens for Mayor

Menden residents are gearing up for a runoff election this Sunday, September 28. The city's mayoral seat is up for grabs, with Manuela Schmidt (CDU) and Jens Wilkens (SPD) vying for the position. The incumbent, Dr. Roland Schröder, has stepped down before the runoff.

Voting will take place from 8 AM to 6 PM at individual polling stations across the city. Alternatively, voters can cast their ballots via mail-in, with ballots needing to reach the city's election office by 4 PM on the same day.

To vote, residents can use their voter notification cards from the main election or present a valid ID. The city has assured voters that live results will be available online or at the town hall.
