Metro planned to be opened in 2029 in Leningrad's Kudrovo
A new metro station is under construction in Kudrovo, a suburban district near Saint Petersburg. Originally planned for earlier completion, the project now aims to open its doors in 2029.
The Kudrovo metro station has faced repeated delays, with the city revising its construction timeline several times. Despite these setbacks, work continues to move forward.
Leningrad Oblast has taken responsibility for completing all supporting infrastructure by the end of 2027. This includes access roads, turning areas, and parking facilities needed for the station’s operation. The regional government will handle all tasks within its jurisdiction to ensure the project stays on track.
Once finished, the station will serve as a key transport link for residents in the growing suburban area. Its opening in 2029 will mark the latest expansion of Saint Petersburg’s metro network into surrounding districts.
The Kudrovo metro station remains on course for a 2029 launch, following infrastructure work by Leningrad Oblast. The completed roads and parking will support daily commuters once the station becomes operational.
