Major Social and Urban Development Projects Underway in the Middle Urals
Large-scale initiatives to build socially significant facilities, carry out major renovations, and create public spaces are being implemented across the Middle Urals under the United Russia party's People's Program, as part of national projects, and through urban comfort and regional improvement programs. Victory Memorial Square, Pokrovsk-Uralsky A solemn opening ceremony marked the unveiling of the Victory Memorial Square, a memorial complex honoring residents of Pokrovsk-Uralsky and Bayanovka who fought against Nazi invaders. The event coincided with the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
"Sokol" Combat Sports Center, Severouralsk The newly opened Sokol Combat Sports Center is a cutting-edge facility for elite athletics, spanning over 1,300 square meters. It features professional boxing and wrestling halls, locker rooms with showers and a sauna, coaching offices, a medical room, and a spectator hall with panoramic windows.
"Dance Square," Severouralsk A once-vacant lot has been transformed into a vibrant public space. Paved walkways and sidewalks now wind through the area, while children enjoy playgrounds with slides and swings. Sports enthusiasts can use the basketball court, outdoor workout zone, and tables for ping-pong and chess. New trees have been planted, and the square is equipped with lighting and security cameras.
Sports Ground, Trety Severny Settlement With support from RUSAL, the settlement now boasts a polyurethane-coated field, fencing, soccer goals, and basketball hoops. The opening of the sports ground was a celebration for local children, and the facility will host future tournaments and athletic events.
