Dover's Blackmer Expands Military Support with New West Coast Repair Center

Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer with annual revenue exceeding $7 billion, has announced the opening of Blackmer's new Military West Coast Repair Center in San Diego, California. This expansion strengthens Blackmer's ability to deliver faster, more localized support to its military and marine customers operating on or near the Pacific Coast.

Blackmer, a Dover company, is the leading global provider of positive displacement, regenerative turbine, centrifugal pump, and reciprocating compressor technologies. With a legacy of supporting U.S. Navy ships and military installations since before World War II, Blackmer is well-equipped to meet the urgent, specialized needs of the U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

The new San Diego facility joins the company's Military East Coast Repair Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, to form a robust, bi-coastal repair network. This network is designed to ensure mission readiness by offering certified OEM rebuilds, a stocked inventory of high-demand components, operational testing capabilities, local fleet training, and four-to-six week lead times to support rapid deployment needs.

The San Diego center offers a range of additional services, including repairs and refurbishment of various components such as packing cases, valves, rings, pistons, and cylinders. The facility leverages Blackmer's associated global engineering resources, enhancing reliability and operational excellence for national security and maritime operations.

Sean Roberts, a retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer, leads the center. His expertise, combined with factory-certified quality, aims to reduce downtime and ensure critical mission performance.
