Minister Forms Committee to Modernize Cooperative Work Regulations

Minister Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah has established an extraordinary committee to draft a new regulatory framework for cooperative work in the country. The committee, led by Dr. Khalid Al-Ajmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, aims to enhance governance and transparency within sixty days, with a possible extension.

The committee's task is to scrutinise existing regulations and propose improvements to boost operational efficiency. The initiative aligns with the political leadership's directives to strengthen cooperative work's developmental and social impact. The committee comprises ministry officials specialising in cooperative affairs and representatives from various governmental and cooperative sectors. They are required to submit a comprehensive report and proposed regulatory framework within sixty days, with a possible one-month extension.

The formation of this committee signals a significant step towards modernising cooperative work regulations. The new framework, expected within two to three months, is set to promote governance, transparency, and operational efficiency in the sector.
