Miriam Scharlibbe to lead Haas Media’s editorial transformation in 2023
Miriam Scharlibbe, previously a news chief at 'stern.de' and regional editor-in-chief at the 'Neue Westfälische', is set to take on significant roles within the Haas Media group. Meanwhile, Yvonne Wenzel, co-managing director of Haas Media, will depart by the end of the year.
Scharlibbe's new journey begins on August 1, 2023, as she takes over as editor-in-chief of the 'Mannheimer Morgen'. By January 1, 2026, she will also assume the editorial directorship of the 'Bergsträßer Anzeiger' and the 'Schwetzinger Zeitung'. This move comes after Karsten Kammholz's decision to leave his position as editor-in-chief of the 'Mannheimer Morgen' by his own accord.
Under the new structure, Franzisca Jaster will lead market development and advertising sales for Bensheim, Mannheim, and Schwetzingen, centralising these operations under the Haas Media umbrella. Starting January 1, 2026, Jaster will take sole management of Haas Media, following Yvonne Wenzel's departure at the end of the year.
With these changes, Haas Media welcomes Miriam Scharlibbe's extensive experience and leadership, while Franzisca Jaster's centralisation efforts aim to strengthen the group's market presence and advertising sales. Yvonne Wenzel's departure marks a new chapter for the company.
