Mirza Fakhrul collects nomination form for Thakurgaon 1
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will stand as the BNP candidate for Thakurgaon 1 in the upcoming 13th national parliament elections. The party officially announced his nomination after he was proposed for the seat. His candidacy marks a key move in the election preparations for the opposition party.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) put forward Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, its Secretary General, as their choice for Thakurgaon 1 constituency. His name appeared on the party’s final list of candidates for the election.
On Thursday afternoon, the nomination form was collected on his behalf. Nur-e-Shahadat Swajan, a former vice-president of Thakurgaon district BNP, submitted the paperwork at the district election commission’s office. The process followed standard procedures for candidate registration.
With Fakhrul now confirmed as the BNP’s pick for Thakurgaon 1, the party has finalised its candidate for the constituency. His nomination sets the stage for the upcoming electoral contest in the region. The election commission will proceed with verifying all submissions before the vote.
