Missing Moscow teens found safe after brief disappearance
Moscow police have found two missing teenagers after a brief search. The pair—a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy—were located safe and unharmed. Authorities later confirmed they had left home together by prior arrangement.
The teenagers were discovered staying in a private residence. Police confirmed neither had suffered any harm during their absence. Following the investigation, the 16-year-old was returned to her legal guardians.
The girl's parents now face administrative charges for neglecting their supervisory duties. Authorities stressed the importance of parental responsibility in such cases. In response, the police department urged all parents to build trust with their children, stay aware of their social circles, and keep track of their activities.
Both teenagers are back with their families, and no further risks to their safety have been reported. The case has led to a reminder from police about the need for vigilant parenting. The girl's parents will now proceed through administrative proceedings for failing to meet their legal obligations.
