So we a stadium in front of us and there are 6 players standing and we see 3 footballs over here, so this is a football match and we see a lot of spectators over here and they are wearing the raincoats and holding the umbrellas, so it might be raining over there and we see a lot of cameramen here, shooting the match.

Mixed Fortunes for European Clubs in Europa League

There were mixed fortunes for European clubs in the Europa League this week. Roma missed out on a win after failing to convert three penalties in a 1-0 loss to Lille. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace secured a 2-0 victory against Dynamo Kyiv in their debut European match.

In Rome, Roma's hopes of a win were dashed when they squandered three penalty opportunities in a 1-0 defeat to Lille. The French side, led by coach Bruno Génésio since July 2025, held firm despite the missed chances. Elsewhere, Bologna earned a 1-1 draw at home against Freiburg, thanks to a goal from Riccardo Orsolini.

Nottingham Forest's manager Ange Postecoglou is still searching for his first win after six games. His side fell 3-2 to Midtjylland. In the Premier League, Aston Villa's captain John McGinn scored again, leading his team to a 2-0 win over Feyenoord. Real Betis also secured a 2-0 victory away at Ludogorets with goals from Giovani Lo Celso and an own goal.

Celtic's hopes were dashed when a 'baffling' VAR decision disallowed their equalizer in a 2-0 loss to Braga. Go Ahead Eagles pulled off a comeback win, beating Panathinaikos 2-1 in Athens after trailing initially. Fenerbahce also secured a 2-1 victory against Nice with goals from Kerem Akturkoglu.

The Europa League continues to serve up thrilling encounters. While some clubs secured crucial wins, others, like Roma and Celtic, left it late to find the back of the net. The competition remains wide open as teams battle for supremacy.
