MLU’s Founders’ Week Sparks Innovation with Pitches, Workshops and Lessons from Failure
Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) is hosting Founders’ Week from November 18 to 20, focusing on startups and idea development. The event is part of Germany’s nationwide Startup Week and is organized by MLU’s Transfer and Startup Service, sponsored by Stadtwerke Halle GmbH. It features a workshop on integrating entrepreneurial skills into academic programs, a live pitching competition with cash prizes, and an alumni reunion discussing the role of innovation and startups in structural transformation.
The week begins with a workshop on integrating entrepreneurial skills into academic programs. Participants will learn how to foster an entrepreneurial mindset and incorporate these skills into their teaching. The event also includes the 'Scidea Stage' ideas competition, where founders and teams pitch their ideas live for cash prizes. Although the names of the participants are not available, the competition promises to be an exciting showcase of innovative thinking.
On November 18, the MLU Alumni Reunion will take place, focusing on 'The Role of Innovation and Startups in Structural Transformation: The University as an Engine of Change'. The reunion will highlight three major structural transformation initiatives and discuss the university's role in driving change. The week concludes with 'FuckUp Night Halle', where entrepreneurs share stories of failure and the lessons they learned, providing valuable insights into the entrepreneurial journey.
Founders’ Week at MLU offers a comprehensive exploration of entrepreneurship, from education and competition to alumni engagement and real-world experiences. By participating in these events, attendees can gain insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem, network with like-minded individuals, and learn from both successes and failures.
