Moroccan Forces Royales Air Orders H135 Helicopters for Military Training

The Moroccan Forces Royales Air has placed a new order for the H135 helicopters, a versatile and reliable aircraft known for its use in military training missions. This decision was expressed as a source of pride by Arnaud Montalvo, Head of Africa and Middle East at Airbus Helicopters.

The H135, equipped with Airbus Helicopters' advanced Helionix avionics suite, offers optimal safety conditions for basic and advanced mission training. Its lightweight, agile handling and excellent safety record make it an ideal choice for training roles.

Key advantages of the H135 include its twin-engine safety and performance, digital automatic flight control system (AFCS) for stable, precise flight control, and IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) capability. The modern Helionix cockpit allows flexibility in instrumentation layout, making it suitable for various environments and missions.

The H135 has already accumulated more than 400,000 military training flight hours globally and is operated by over 130 units by military agencies worldwide for training missions. It has proven its reliability in demanding environments, such as training centers in Europe.

The new order expands the global fleet to 12 military customers, including the armed forces of the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, and Japan. The training programme will enable the Forces Royales Air to take full advantage of the H135's multi-mission capabilities such as NVG (Night Vision Goggles) and winching.

The contract includes the delivery of Flight Training Devices and the training of instructor and maintenance pilots. It also includes an extensive support package to ensure the smooth operation of the H135 in the Moroccan Forces Royales Air.

The H135 will be used for training pilots to perform various demanding missions including utility and search and rescue. As a leader in its segment, the H135 is a reference for light twin-engine helicopters, and its adoption by the Moroccan Forces Royales Air further solidifies its position in the military training sector.
