Moscow overhauls its national grid and roads in record upgrades
Moscow has completed large-scale repairs on its national grid and road network this year. Nearly 1,800 electrical substations have been upgraded, covering almost 90% of the planned work. Meanwhile, crews have resurfaced half a million square metres of asphalt along the Garden Ring.
The city’s energy sector has undergone extensive upgrades. Technicians inspected equipment and decided whether to repair or replace components. Major work included overhauling power transformers, electrical gear, and grounding systems. New insulators, relay protection devices, and automation systems were also installed.
The upgrades strengthen Moscow’s national grid and road conditions. Nearly 90% of substations are now repaired, with the rest due for completion soon. The improvements ensure more stable power for homes, services, and companies across the city.
