Moscow Region expands free transit but restricts metro access temporarily

Residents of the Moscow Region can now enjoy free rides on Moscow–Moscow Region project lines and connecting services, thanks to the local transport authorities' expansion of the list of eligible users. However, entry to the metro will be restricted during this period.

To facilitate access to long-distance platforms, two temporary pavilions have been established. One is located near Komsomolskaya Square, while the other is situated near Yaroslavsky Railway Station and the entrance to the Komsomolskaya metro station. Meanwhile, passengers using the Leningradsky Railway Station in Moscow should note that access routes will be temporarily altered from November 13 due to renovation work.

The expansion of free rides on Moscow–Moscow Region project lines and connecting services is a significant development for eligible residents in the Moscow Region. However, it is important for commuters to be aware of the temporary changes in access routes and metro entry restrictions during this period.
