In a significant move to enhance transportation infrastructure and stimulate economic growth, the construction of a new airport in the Mostovskoy District, Krasnodar Krai, has been announced. Known as "Pseбай" airport, this modern aviation platform will cater to private aviation and domestic tourism.

The project, estimated to cost around 5 billion rubles, is part of a broader regional initiative to boost tourism and economic activity in Krasnodar Krai. The village of Andryuki is also involved in the airport's development.

The airport's construction will take place on the site of the previously operating airport. Control and command posts, hangars for aviation equipment, a terminal complex, and crew rest facilities will be erected, transforming the area into a state-of-the-art facility for passenger and business transportation.

The runway of the new airport will be reconstructed, ensuring smooth operations for private jets and commercial aircraft. The airport is expected to generate approximately 500 new jobs during construction and around 300 permanent jobs once operational.

The completion date for the airport project has been set for 2026, according to the latest updates. However, it was later corrected to 2027. The airport is anticipated to create 22 new jobs upon completion.

The new airport will serve as a catalyst for the development of the aviation tourism industry in Krasnodar Krai and the entire South of Russia. Vasily Vorobyev, head of the Department of Business Development and External Economic Activities of Krasnodar Krai, stated that "Pseбай" will facilitate passenger logistics, further enhancing the region's connectivity.

A land lease agreement has been signed for the airport's construction, and a project and an application for connection to the power grid are currently being developed. The announcement about the airport's construction was made by the press service of the Krasnodar Krai administration.

The airport's focus on domestic tourism and private aviation aligns with the broader regional strategy to boost tourism and economic activity in Krasnodar Krai. The new airport is expected to contribute significantly to the region's development and serve as a hub for both leisure and business travel.

The new airport, named "Pseбай," falls under the broader regional initiative that integrates the industry, finance, transportation, and aviation sectors, aiming to stimulate economic growth and boost tourism in Krasnodar Krai. The anticipated completion date for the airport project is 2027, and it is expected to create over 800 jobs during its operational lifespan, contributing to the development and serving as a hub for both leisure and business travel within the region.
