Motorcyclist, 51, dies after hitting live electricity wire in Urdax crash

A tragic accident on the NA-4401 road in Alkerdi, Urdax, claimed the life of a 51-year-old motorcyclist on Friday, November 14, 2025. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, at 5:11 a.m., near kilometer 2.9.

The motorcyclist, a resident of Zugarramurdi, collided with a fallen electricity post that had a live wire across the roadway. The impact resulted in their death. Emergency services were swiftly alerted to the scene. Foral Police patrols from Elizondo responded and are currently investigating the crash. The Accident Investigation Unit is reconstructing the sequence of events to clarify all details and determine the cause of the fallen utility pole.
