Motorcyclist critically injured after 10-metre fall from Berlin bridge

A 33-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in Reinickendorf on Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred near the A 111 motorway slip road, prompting an ongoing investigation by Berlin police. No official findings have yet been released.

The crash took place at around 3 p.m. on July 18, 2024, as the rider travelled from Antonienstraße onto the A 111 toward Kurt-Schumacher-Damm. While navigating a left-hand bend, the motorcyclist swerved right, struck the kerb, and scraped against the bridge railing. The impact sent the rider over the guardrail, resulting in a ten-metre fall below.

Emergency responders performed resuscitation at the scene before rushing the injured motorcyclist to hospital for intensive treatment. The Special Traffic Unit of Police Directorate 1 (North) took charge of the investigation shortly after the incident.

As of March 2026, authorities have not provided any public updates on the case. No preliminary results or safety recommendations have been announced so far.

The investigation remains under the responsibility of the Special Traffic Unit. No further details about the motorcyclist's condition or the cause of the accident have been shared. Police have yet to disclose any next steps or preventive measures.
