MPPSC Ordered to Explain Delay in Issuing 87% Appointment Letters

The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has been ordered by the courts to explain its delay in issuing appointment letters to candidates selected for 87% of posts in the Joint Examination-2023 for the Forest and Prison departments. The Supreme Court and the Madhya Pradesh High Court have both intervened in the matter, with the latter also asking the state government to provide clarification.

The Supreme Court has directed the Madhya Pradesh High Court to hear petitions filed by candidates from the Other Backward Class (OBC) category. These candidates are challenging the withholding of final results without prior notice. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh High Court's division bench has asked the state government to explain why appointment letters have not been issued to the remaining selected candidates.

The court's directive comes after the MPPSC prevented the issuance of appointment letters to candidates selected for 87% of the posts in the Joint Examination-2023 for the Forest and Prison departments. The high court has directed the state government to explain why these letters were not issued, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

The courts' intervention underscores the importance of timely action in such matters. The state government and the MPPSC are expected to provide satisfactory explanations and take necessary steps to resolve the issue promptly, ensuring that selected candidates receive their appointment letters without further delay.
