Mülenberg Street to close for three weeks during major road resurfacing
Starting November 10, 2023, road resurfacing work will commence on Mülenberg Street in the Neindorf district. This is the final project of this year's major maintenance program and will last approximately three weeks. During this time, local drivers will be directed via Schmiedeberg Street, Schulstraße, and Südstraße, while local bus services will follow a temporary diversion route.
The construction work will involve the complete closure of Mülenberg Street to traffic. Crews will first repair a section of the stormwater sewer, followed by fixing drainage channels, road gullies, and manhole covers. The road surface will then be improved by milling off four centimeters of the asphalt surface and laying a new top layer along a 250-meter stretch.
The local authorities are responsible for this road construction project. They aim to ensure the road's longevity and safety through these renovations.
Motorists should plan alternative routes during the construction period, with the signed detour guiding them through Schmiedeberg Street, Schulstraße, and Südstraße. Local bus services will also be affected, so passengers should check their routes. Upon completion, the resurfaced Mülenberg Street will provide a smoother and safer driving experience for the Neindorf district.
