Theo Müller takes over yogurt brands Lünebest and Elinas - Müller acquires Lünebest and Elinas yogurt brands in major German deal

The Müller Group has agreed to buy yogurt brands Lünebest and Elinas from Hochwald Foods. The deal includes the Lüneburg production site and its 150 workers. Both brands will continue to be made at the same location under Müller’s ownership.

Lünebest is a popular yogurt brand in northern Germany, while Elinas focuses on Greek-style products. The purchase agreement has been signed, but the transaction still needs regulatory approval before finalising.

Once approved, the deal will expand Müller’s yogurt offerings in Germany. The Lüneburg plant will maintain its current operations, keeping both Lünebest and Elinas in production. The acquisition strengthens Müller’s position in the dairy market while preserving local jobs.
