Multiple Demonstrations to Disrupt Traffic in Freiburg's City Center on Saturday
Several demonstrations are set to take place in Freiburg's city center on Saturday, potentially causing traffic disruptions. While the main event is a protest march regarding the situation in Gaza, other rallies will focus on animal welfare rights and Kurdish solidarity. The city administration warns of possible spontaneous gatherings.
The protest march, expected to draw around 300 participants, will commence at 3 PM at the Platz der Alten Synagoge. It will then proceed through several major streets, including Kaiser-Joseph-Straße, Friedrichring, Eisenbahnstraße, and Bismarckallee, before concluding at Konrad-Adenauer-Platz. This route may cause disruptions in tram and individual traffic.
Three stationary rallies are planned throughout the day. Animal rights activists will gather on the Rathausplatz from 10 AM to 4 PM. A peace vigil will take place at Bertoldsbrunnen from 1 PM to 7 PM. Meanwhile, a Kurdish solidarity rally will start at 3 PM at Europaplatz. The organizer of the animal welfare rights rally remains unknown, as no information could be found in the search results.
On Saturday, Freiburg's city center will host multiple demonstrations, with the potential for traffic disruptions and spontaneous gatherings. The city administration advises residents and visitors to be aware of these events and plan their journeys accordingly.
