Mumbai’s Kamatipura to Rise Anew with 78-Storey Redevelopment Plan
Mumbai's Kamatipura neighborhood is set for a major transformation. The high-power committee has given the green light to a 34-acre redevelopment project, led by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) and executed by Pune-based AATK Constructions under the cluster redevelopment scheme.
The redevelopment plan is ambitious, featuring high-rise rehab buildings reaching 57 storeys and sale buildings soaring up to 78 storeys. Each tenant will benefit significantly, with a guaranteed 2BHK flat of at least 500 sq. ft. of modern, secure housing.
The scheme ensures fairness for landlords too. For every 50 sq. metres of land owned, they will receive 500 sq. ft. of 2BHK housing. This not only provides new homes but also addresses the need for affordable housing in the city.
The Kamatipura redevelopment project promises a significant upgrade for the neighborhood. With MHADA and AATK Constructions at the helm, the project aims to deliver modern, secure housing for tenants and fair compensation for landlords. The high-rise buildings will also contribute to Mumbai's evolving skyline.
