Münster Police and New Turkish Consul General Strengthen Ties in Historic Meeting
Police President Alexandra Dorndorf met with Turkey's new Consul General in Münster for the first time on December 12, 2025. The meeting took place at police headquarters on Friesenring, marking the start of their official working relationship. Mehmet Özgün Arman had only begun his role three months earlier, on September 1, 2025.
Arman arrived in Münster after serving at the Turkish Embassy. His appointment as Consul General came as the Turkish Consulate General in Münster celebrated over 40 years as the city's sole diplomatic mission.
The visit solidified plans for ongoing collaboration between the Turkish Consulate General and Münster's police force. Both Dorndorf and Arman agreed to build on their existing relationship with mutual trust. The meeting set a clear path for future joint efforts in the city.
