Murcia’s Remembrance Service Honours Air Forces on November 9
The Royal British Legion Murcia Branch invites residents and visitors to their annual Remembrance Service on November 9. The event, taking place at 12 noon in the Los Palacios Memorial Garden, Sector A, Camposol, offers a chance to reflect and honour those who served in the air forces.
The service will include prayers, a wreath-laying ceremony, and a two-minute silence to remember those who served in conflicts and peace. Throughout November, the branch runs fundraising events to support the Poppy Appeal. Details about these events and how to get involved are available on their Facebook page. Funds raised go towards supporting serving and former members of the air forces and their families. The Remembrance Sunday event is open to everyone, providing an opportunity for the community to come together and pay their respects. It takes place on the Sunday closest to November 11, the date the First World War ended in 1918. People often wear red poppies, a symbol of respect and remembrance, on this day.
The Royal British Legion Murcia Branch encourages everyone to attend the Remembrance Service and help raise funds for a worthy cause. By doing so, we can honour the sacrifices made by those who served and ensure support for our air forces community.
