Muri AG to Centralize Admin in Historic Abbey for Better Access

Muri, Canton Aargau, is set to optimize its administrative processes. The municipality plans to consolidate all its departments within the historic Abbey of Muri complex. The town council will unveil the project on October 30, 2025, inviting residents for an open discussion.

The move aims to reduce travel distances for residents, making services more accessible. The plan involves long-term leasing and renovating the former hospice from the parish. Authorities are considering housing all administrative offices in the monastery area to improve collaboration and efficiency.

The municipal council of Muri AG has been exploring this possibility. They aim to centralize all administrative departments within the monastery complex. The town council will present the project in the monastery’s refectory on October 30, 2025, followed by a tour of the premises and a reception for discussion.

The council welcomes broad public attendance and looks forward to an open exchange with residents. The project aims to enhance administrative services and community engagement within the historic monastery complex.
