Mysterious Berlin car fire damages three vehicles in overnight blaze
A car fire broke out in a residential parking lot in Berlin’s Neu-Hohenschönhausen district early this morning. The blaze damaged three vehicles, though no injuries were reported. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the incident.
The fire started just after midnight on Randowstraße. A witness nearby heard a loud bang at around 12:15 a.m. before spotting a vehicle engulfed in flames. The blaze quickly spread, causing heat damage to two other cars parked beside it.
Berlin Fire Department crews arrived promptly and extinguished the fire. While the flames were brought under control, the exact origin remains unclear. The case has since been transferred to the Berlin State Criminal Police Office’s specialised investigative unit for further examination.
The incident left three cars damaged, with two suffering from heat exposure. Investigators are working to determine whether the fire was accidental or deliberate. No further details have been released at this time.
