Nagaon launches RC-EMEx 2025 to strengthen disaster response and preparedness
Today marked the start of RC-EMEx 2025, a significant step towards making Nagaon more disaster-resilient. The event, held at the ADP College Auditorium under Nagaon Sadar Revenue Circle, was inaugurated by the Additional District Commissioner & CEO of DDMA, Nagaon. The day's programme was led by the District Project Officer, DDMA, and experienced resource persons.
RC-EMEx 2025 is a joint initiative by the District Disaster Management Authority, Nagaon and the Assam State Disaster Management Authority. It aims to boost grassroots capacity in disaster response and preparedness. The event consisted of four specialised training modules: Response and Relief Coordination, Child-Centric Emergency Preparedness, Basic Search and Rescue, and Water and Sanitation in Emergencies.
The Additional District Commissioner & CEO stressed the importance of local-level preparedness in tackling emergencies. RC-EMEx 2025 aims to strengthen coordination among departments and empower the community with response skills. The sessions were hands-on, providing field coordination and crisis management-related guidance.
RC-EMEx 2025 is a strong stride towards a more disaster-resilient Nagaon. With active participation from various stakeholders, it has enhanced grassroots capacity in disaster response and preparedness. The event was a success, with key officials and field officers from various revenue circles in attendance.
