Nahid Islam’s NCP unveils bold election strategy ahead of candidate list reveal

The National Citizen Party (NCP), led by Nahid Islam, has shared plans for the upcoming national elections. The politico, open to forming alliances with like-minded groups, has criticized certain political practices in Narayanganj. NCP's full candidate list is set to be unveiled by the third week of this month. The party, vocal about its disapproval of 'godfather' politics, believes it undermines genuine empowerment of the people. Nahid Islam, NCP convener, has stated that the party is open to joining forces with groups that resist Indian domination and promote communal harmony. The party might also form alliances with forces supporting reforms, as suggested by Hasnat Abdullah, who hinted at a potential electoral alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). However, NCP has made it clear that it will not ally with parties obstructing the country's reform process. NCP aims to preserve Narayanganj's rich political heritage and uphold people's rights, believing that the Awami League has become irrelevant in Bangladesh and eager to fill the void with a fresh political perspective. The NCP's candidate list for the national election is expected soon. The party's stance on alliances and political practices in Narayanganj signals a commitment to reform and people's empowerment. Its readiness to work with pro-reform parties and resist Indian domination indicates a clear political agenda for the upcoming elections.
