NDR has announced two key leadership changes at its Hamburg State Broadcasting Center. Sofie Donges will take over as director in December, succeeding Hendrik Lünenborg. Meanwhile, Britta von der Heide has been named deputy editor-in-chief and program director for the news division.
Sofie Donges brings extensive experience within public broadcasting to her new role. She began her career at NDR as a trainee before working as an editor and reporter for Hessischer Rundfunk. Later, she served as deputy program director and head of news at N-JOY. Currently, she works as an ARD correspondent in Stockholm.
The changes will take effect in December, with Donges stepping into her new position. Von der Heide’s dual role as deputy editor-in-chief and program director will begin immediately. Both appointments aim to ensure continuity and innovation in NDR’s news and broadcasting operations.
