School lessons secured after water damage in Neuwied - Neuwied School Closes Classrooms After Mysterious Water Damage
Geschwister-Scholl-Schule in Neuwied has temporarily shut twelve classrooms after water damage struck parts of the building. The cause of the incident remains unknown, leaving school officials to manage the disruption while repairs take place.
The damage first forced the closure of twelve rooms, but four have since reopened. At least two will stay out of use due to detached ceiling panels. To keep lessons running, the school has moved classes to alternative spaces, including gymnasiums, multipurpose halls, and nearby Deichstadtkirche.
Some groups have been merged to reduce interruptions. Staff arranged the new spaces quickly, ensuring students could continue their studies without major delays.
The school now operates across multiple locations while repairs continue. Classes remain in session, though the timeline for fully reopening the damaged rooms is still uncertain. Officials have not yet identified the source of the water damage.
