New book *Pathikrit* honors Binod Hazarika’s legacy at 88
A new book, 'Pathikrit', was launched on Monday, celebrating the life and work of Binod Hazarika, a retired principal and social activist from the Jamugurihat area. The event took place at Binod Hazarika's residence in Salaguri, Jamuguri, on his 88th birthday.
The book, edited by Basav Bhuyan, Secretary of the Jamuguri branch of Axam Xahitya Xabha, was unveiled by Dilip Kumar Bhattacharya. Bhaba Goswami, President of the same branch, chaired the event.
Binod Hazarika, associated with local organizations like the Baresohoriya Bhaona Committee and Bapuji Bhawan Natya Samaj, has left a significant mark on the region. The book aims to document his contributions.
The programme saw Ganesh Pathak as the chief guest and Padma Hazarika, MLA from Naduar, as a distinguished guest.
The release of 'Pathikrit' is a testament to Binod Hazarika's impact on the Jamugurihat area. The book, compiled by local figures, is expected to serve as a valuable record of his life and work.
