New Campaign Pushes Modern Farming in Key US Agricultural States

A new campaign is pushing for modern farming methods in key agricultural states. The Environmental Defense Fund has launched radio and Spotify ads in Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota. These states rank among the top producers of corn, soybeans, dairy, and livestock in the US.

The ads highlight a recent report on farming innovation. While the report's publisher remains unnamed, the campaign targets regions where agriculture plays a major economic role. Iowa leads in corn and hog production, while Indiana ranks high for soybeans and corn. Pennsylvania dominates dairy output, and South Dakota excels in corn, cattle, soybeans, and wheat.

The timing aligns with political activity in Washington. The House Agriculture Committee has scheduled a markup session for a new farm bill by the end of February. This legislation could shape future farming policies and funding across the 50 states.

The campaign reaches farmers in states critical to US food production. With the farm bill under discussion, the ads may influence how lawmakers view agricultural innovation. The Environmental Defense Fund's push comes as policymakers prepare to finalise key decisions.
