New Clean City Task Force Launches in Dreieich and Neu-Isenburg
The DLB Dreieich and Neu-Isenburg Public Waste Management Association (AöR) has unveiled a new municipal cleanliness strategy for the two cities. Developed in partnership with local authorities, the plan aims to keep urban spaces tidy and well-maintained. A dedicated task force and a newly appointed coordinator will now lead the effort.
Franziska Knake has been named the managing director responsible for urban cleanliness. Her role covers public relations, waste prevention, and project implementation. With a background in waste management and environmental studies from Magdeburg and Dresden, she brings over 18 years of experience at DLB.
Since joining DLB in 2006, Knake has helped introduce reporting systems for environmental issues and organised clean-up campaigns across Dreieich and Neu-Isenburg. Her immediate priority will be coordination, starting with a roundtable discussion involving DLB, city officials, and key stakeholders to identify challenges and develop action plans.
A Clean City Task Force has also been set up within DLB AöR to oversee initiatives and serve as a link between regulatory bodies and the community. The task force’s position is jointly funded by both cities, ensuring shared responsibility for the strategy’s success. Under the new framework, urban cleaning operations will now fall under the authority of the DLB association’s managing director or their designated representative.
The strategy outlines clear measures to maintain clean and orderly public spaces in Dreieich and Neu-Isenburg. Knake’s leadership and the task force’s coordination will guide its implementation. Both cities have committed resources to support the long-term goals of the initiative.
