New Dementia Guide Empowers Caregivers and Sufferers
A new practical guide on dementia, 'Expert Knowledge on Dementia - Latest Medications and Technologies / Becoming Self-Active', has been published. Co-authored by Celine Cont (29) and Prof. Dr. med. Lars Wojtecki, the book combines scientific knowledge with practical tips for caregivers and sufferers alike.
Celine Cont's interest in dementia began at St. Bernhard Gymnasium in Schiefbahn, where she studied psychology. She later pursued this passion at Southern Utah University and Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, specializing in neuropsychology. Her personal experience with her grandfather's Parkinson's disease further inspired her to write the book.
The guide offers insights into effective therapies, nutrition, exercise, caregiver advice, and digital health apps. Cont and Wojtecki have researched various forms of dementia and neurological diseases, including a new shockwave therapy at Hospital zum Heiligen Geist in Kempen. The authors will present their work during a book tour, including a special event at the 6th Schiefbahner Gespräch.
The book, published on September 3, 2025, aims to empower both caregivers and those living with dementia. Cont and Wojtecki's expertise and personal experiences make this guide a valuable resource. The authors look forward to sharing their insights during their upcoming book tour.
