New DVLA sticker lets owners drive unregistered Tesla and Ford vehicles legally
A new temporary registration system has been introduced for unregistered vehicles. The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) announced the measure to improve road safety and compliance. It offers a legal way for private owners to operate vehicles like those from Tesla, Ford, or Rivian while awaiting full registration.
The DVLA’s Temporary Registration Number Sticker will allow private citizens to use unregistered vehicles for a limited period. This initiative specifically targets individuals who do not qualify as fleet operators or car dealers. The sticker ensures vehicles remain identifiable while in use.
The temporary sticker provides a lawful solution for drivers with unregistered vehicles. It also supports broader efforts to enhance road safety and regulatory compliance. Both the DVLA and KBA expect these changes to simplify vehicle identification processes.
