New Exhibition Tackles Right-Wing Extremism Through Education in Friesoythe

Travelling Exhibition "Standing Together Against Right-Wing Extremism" at Forum Friesoythe

From Wednesday, March 5, 2026, to Friday, March 13, 2026, the Lower Saxony Office for the Protection of the Constitution's travelling exhibition "Standing Together Against Right-Wing Extremism" will be on display at Forum Friesoythe. The event is supported by the Cloppenburg/Vechta Police Department in cooperation with the Friesoythe Prevention Council.

The shared mission of promoting democracy through education and prevention unites schools and law enforcement in a collaborative effort to reinforce the foundations of an open, rule-of-law society.

Strengthening democratic values and preventing extremism are core objectives of modern education.

The exhibition addresses this mandate by providing insights into the various forms of right-wing extremism, as well as its goals, tactics, and strategies.

To effectively counter extremist ideologies, it is essential to recognize their manifestations, understand their content, and identify their intentions.

The exhibition is primarily aimed at students from grade 10 and above. After registration, participants will be guided through the 90-minute tour by two prevention officers from Lower Saxony's Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

The content begins with a film presentation on recent developments within the far-right scene, followed by a focus on the propaganda methods used by key actors. The goal is to raise media literacy, particularly among young people, while also highlighting strategies for resistance and prevention.
