New gas pipeline transforms rural lives in Russia’s Krasnodar region
A new gas pipeline has brought supply to several rural hamlets in Russia’s Krasnodar region. The 1.5 km extension now serves Romanchukov, along with Krasnye Gory, San’kov, and Stolyarov. The project follows public appeals made during live Q&A sessions with local officials.
In 2023, Alexei Timonon, a resident of Romanchukov, raised the issue of missing gas supply during a live session with Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev. His complaint led to the pipeline’s construction, which now connects 15 households, including his own.
A similar case occurred that year in Andreyevskaya, Kalininsky District. A mother’s appeal during the same Q&A format resulted in her home receiving gas. Further expansion is planned, with Kindergarten No. 18 in Yekaterinovka set for connection by 2026.
Governor Kondratyev will hold his fifth live session on December 5, 2025. These events have repeatedly prompted infrastructure improvements after residents highlight local needs.
The pipeline extension has resolved long-standing gaps in gas access for multiple villages. Future projects, like the 2026 kindergarten connection, will depend on continued public engagement. Official updates on further expansions remain limited as of late 2025.
