A 44-year-old man from Abiquiú, New Mexico, is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend at gunpoint. Juanito Toby Jaramillo, who has a history of violent crimes, is accused of assaulting the woman while under the influence of fentanyl.

The incident began at the Ohkay Hotel Casino in Ohkay Owingeh, where Jaramillo reportedly abducted his girlfriend at gunpoint. He then drove her to a remote area known as the 'Devil’s Playground', where she was beaten inside his car.

Jaramillo remains in custody on kidnapping and battery charges. The victim’s injuries and the involvement of others in the assault are still under investigation. If convicted, he could face a lengthy prison sentence due to his prior offences.
