New play On the Move brings migrant stories to life in March 2026
A new play exploring migration and its human impact will take the stage in March. On the Move weaves together personal stories of those who leave their homes behind. The production features work from acclaimed Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, including her short story The Thing Around Your Neck.
On the Move tackles the struggles and resilience of migrants, a topic that often sparks debate across societies. The play draws on real experiences, offering a closer look at the lives disrupted by relocation.
The performance will run at Theater am Ring on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are priced at €29, €26, and €23, with discounted concessions available for €10. A €1 system fee applies to all bookings. Adichie's contribution adds depth to the production, bringing her signature storytelling to the themes of displacement and belonging. No other authors or literary works have been confirmed for the play at this time.
The play arrives as migration remains a polarising issue in many countries. Audience members will have the chance to see these stories unfold on stage next spring. Tickets for On the Move are on sale now, with options for different budgets.
