New Podcast Ithaka Spotlights Global Greek Achievers and Their Journeys

A new monthly podcast has launched to celebrate the achievements of influential Greeks and Philhellenes worldwide. Ithaka: The Journey of Great Hellenes is produced by The Hellenic Initiative (THI), a global nonprofit working to strengthen Greece's economic and humanitarian future since 2012. The series kicks off with an episode featuring Andrew N. Liveris, co-founder of THI and former CEO of Dow Chemical Company.

The podcast's first episode centres on Liveris, who shares insights into his career and the challenges of hosting the Olympic Games. His conversation with host George P. Stamas also explores Liveris's personal journey and contributions to Greece. The series name draws on the symbolism of Ithaca, evoking themes of perseverance, growth, and self-discovery.

Future episodes will showcase in-depth interviews with business leaders, policymakers, and cultural figures. Each discussion will delve into their professional milestones and the experiences that shaped their paths. The podcast will be released monthly across THI's digital platforms, offering listeners a chance to connect with inspiring stories from the Greek diaspora and beyond. THI's mission with this project extends beyond storytelling. The organisation aims to unite Greeks globally, preserve Hellenic heritage, and channel support back to Greece through these conversations. While details on upcoming guests remain under wraps, the series promises to highlight individuals who have made a lasting impact on the world.

The podcast's debut marks a new way for THI to engage the Greek diaspora and supporters of Hellenism. By sharing the journeys of accomplished figures, the series seeks to inspire and strengthen ties to Greece. Episodes will be available each month on THI's official channels.
