New Year’s Sky Spectacle: Aviation Meets Fairy-Tale Magic in Kazakhstan
A unique New Year’s celebration will take place at Baiserke airfield in Yerkyn village, Talgar District, on January 4, 2026. The main event blends family entertainment with aviation performances, including aerobatics and parachute displays. Organisers expect around 5,000 guests for the festive occasion.
The festivities will begin with the arrival of Grandfather Frost and the Snow Maiden by helicopter. For the first time, parachutists dressed in fairy-tale costumes will perform, featuring medal-winning international athletes. Their jumps will add a magical touch to the event.
The airfield has passed all safety inspections and holds official certification for hosting the celebration. Pilots will undergo mandatory medical checks before the show, while police, emergency services, and medical teams will ensure security. Heated tents will also be available to keep guests comfortable in winter conditions.
Supported by the Almaty Region akimat, the Tourism Department, and the Visit Alatau tourist centre, the event offers a packed programme. Visitors can enjoy aerobatics, interactive games, flash mobs, and a disco. A concert, contests, workshops, and a fair will run alongside a dedicated food court. Children will have access to animated activity zones designed just for them.
